How to be happy by Sadhguru

Sadhguru is a yogi and mystic and author of Inner Engineering, A Yogi’s Guide to Joy. What is your philosophy?

Sadhguru: Yoga is not a philosophy, belief system, ideology, or even a teaching – it is a scientific methodology to experience one’s ultimate possibility. We are offering this technology so that you learn to operate the human mechanism at a higher level than you are operating at right now.

Why are you coming to London?

Sadhguru: The program we are offering is called Inner Engineering. As there is a technology to create external well-being, there is a whole dimension of science and technology to create inner well-being. What is offered here is yoga as a science of transformation, yoga as a science towards one’s ultimate well-being.

What is the best advice for living a good, healthy, happy life?

Sadhguru: Living healthy in the body, joyful in the mind, and pleasant in emotions is most fundamental for every human being. But your well-being will not come from somewhere, either you create it or you do not – this is the fundamental of yoga. Introducing yoga into everyone’s life will provide a powerful process to create one’s health and well-being.

How can we combat our problems?

Sadhguru: The only problem in your life is the world is not happening the way you think it should happen. But no matter who you are, the world is never going to happen 100% the way you want it. However, at least YOU should happen the way you want. If you happened the way you want, you would definitely keep yourself blissful, not miserable, wouldn’t you? Once you are blissful, you are no longer an issue. Once you are no longer an issue, you can handle the issues around you with utmost ease.
