How to be more ‘photopresent’

After seeing the beautiful images taken by Matthew Johnstone for his new book Capturing Mindfulness (Robinson, £9.99), we’ll certainly be making an effort to be more ‘photopresent’ – mindfully observing our surroundings as if seeing them for the very first time.

It’s a very creative and inspiring way of being mindful – and you don’t necessarily need a fancy camera either – Johnstone used whatever was to hand at the time, from an SLR to his smartphone.
