How are you?

Resist the urge to say: 'I'm fine'

By

How are you?

A study has found that, on average, we say โ€˜Iโ€™m fineโ€™ 14 times a week, but only 19 per cent of us mean it. Those polled said they were more likely to share how they feel with a stranger than colleagues, and 22 per cent of men say they always lie about how they are, compared to 10 per cent of women.

The Mental Health Foundationโ€™s โ€˜Iโ€™m Fineโ€™ campaign, aims to encourage openness about mental health, and help us switch off our default โ€˜Iโ€™m fineโ€™ mode.

Think about how often you say those words and how you actually feel.
