Change your health on retreat

How are you feeling right now? January is a terrific and timely month to plan and prepare to make the best of the year ahead by organising a health-boosting retreat, whether it’s your mind, body or soul that needs attention. Stepping away from your everyday life to recalibrate, relax and restore is no longer seen as an indulgence, instead, it has become a necessity for many in our fast-paced, demanding and digitally connected world.

Of course, handing yourself over to be tended to by a range of experts can also be an absolute pleasure, whether you’re in need of deep rest, feel jaded, want bags more energy, are lethargic, heavy and not at your peak or have a more serious physical, emotional, professional or relationship issue to address.

On most decent wellbeing breaks, you can be as sociable or as solitary as you need. Go solo for some real time out or to meet like-minded people, or take a trusted friend or family member with you on retreat to reconnect with them while you attend to yourself.

What do you need?

Whatever your stressor, there have never been so many inspiring retreats to choose from to suit different tastes and budgets. This month, we’ve hand-picked Grayshott, a gloriously civilised, long-standing medical health retreat in Surrey; AyurYoga Eco-Ashram, an ethical and beautiful ashram in India; Park Igls, a top-notch health spa that promotes the Modern Mayr method in an Austrian village; and Zen Rocks Mani Retreat Centre, a gorgeous place for yoga, meditation and transformation on the Peloponnese in Greece. Take a deep breath, then browse our thoughtfully curated health-changing retreats.
