This summer, I pressed pause on my life to embark on a dieta with Bobinsana. The Amazon’s shrubby tree whose roots run seven times deeper than its tallest stem. Days were spent in silence, solitude and drinking ritual tea, I discovered faster sleep, a calmer nervous system, and a profound lesson, that true sensuality blooms in stillness.
Current literature suggests that the cause of PTSD of any kind is the lack of love and support we got when dealing with a difficult event. I believe what makes cPTSD so enduring is not just what happened to us, but what we lost because of it: our faith, as defined by Eric Fromm.
I never imagined horses would become part of my perimenopause journey. But there I was, under a giant tree, surrounded by ancient beings, receiving a kind of healing I didn’t even know I needed. This is the story of how one session with these majestic animals brought calm, clarity, and unexpected magic to my nervous system… and my soul.
This was a phrase my dad would say, I always thought it was just another of his playful contradictions. But life, and death, as it tends to do, has taught me alot about time, and my father’s words ended up to be the paradox that changed everything.
