Seasonal Fix

Yoga on the Lane is one of hipster Hackney’s favourite yoga studios. Director, Naomi Annand introduced The Quarterly last Autumn - a foodie and yogi evening to celebrate seasonal change, to socialise and mingle. Annand teaches a specific sequence and meditation geared to embracing the new season, teaming up with chef India Hamilton who creates a delicious vegetarian gluten free menu to support and stimulate. There’s even a non-alcoholic bar with drinking vinegar cocktails and ferments to aid digestion.

From the Rooftops

Planet Manna launched last year with a series of mini festivals on rooftops in the Capital. It’s the fitness fashionista approach with energetic yoga, followed by deep meditation, plus a few surprises - DJs, guest speakers and artists, a healthy BBQ in summer. Their first three day weekend festival will be in October 2017 in Portugal on an island beach location. Expect yoga, water-sports (kayaking, windsurfing), running trails, meditation and live DJ sunset sessions, fresh fish and salads and Portuguese wines.

Holistic Hedonism

No need to put your social life on hold for meditation - how about a Shavasana Disco where you lie down and really pay attention to classic albums? Or, The Gathering where Vedic meditation teacher Will Williams and his team bring together live musicians, speakers (past events included Ruby Wax, the Hemsley sisters), serve veggie food and everyone meditates together. Prices start at £35 (some events are free!).
