The Killing – The disappearance of a young Seattle girl sets in motion this moody crime series focussing on a conflicted detective working the case. The first season covers the first two weeks of the investigation and has three main storylines – the murder investigation, the attempts of her family to deal with their grief, and the fluctuating electoral fortunes of a political campaign that becomes embroiled in the case.

Predator – The 1987 classic follows a tough army commando team on a rescue mission to South America where they encounter a strange jungle predator, a space alien who mercilessly devours his victims.

Sense 8 – A science fiction drama that follows eight strangers from different parts of the world who suddenly become mentally and emotionally linked. The eight ‘sensates’ find themselves flung into each other’s lives through a single consciousness and forced to tackle everyday challenges such as love, loss and identify.

Scream – The TV series sequel to the classic horror franchise has all the scare of the great slasher films. The series is situated in the fictional town of Lakewood, where a string of murders take place. At the centre of these murders is Emma Duval, a teenage girl who is somehow tied to the town’s dark past.
