Exercising with friends makes you more accountable; you are much less likely to cancel a session when you know someone is waiting on you at the gym or in the park. Exercising socially also allows you to combine the basic human needs of friendship and physical exercise. Discussing current events and sharing problems makes the time pass quicker and before you know it you’ve finished a 5K run”.
