Saying, ‘Whoever said that doesn't know what they are talking about'
Telling them to cheer up and go and play on their bike
Telling them that you think they are beautiful
Letting them know that plenty of other people love them and think they are beautiful, and reminding them that we can't force people to like us
7. How do you feel about mirrors? You:
Try not to spend too much time in front of the mirror. If you’re looking in the mirror it's usually because you’re doubtful about something or suffering low morale
Can't help looking at yourself whenever you see one to see if you look OK
Have a mirror in the bathroom. You glance into it in the morning, but that's about it

8. Models with perfect bodies, actors and actresses who have had cosmetic dentistry, flawless faces staring out at us from the TV… It's all social pressure that makes us worry about our physical appearance. Do you agree?
No, it motivates us and helps us strive to look our best
Yes, it's exhausting, cruel and gives people complexes. We’re always being made to feel our appearance isn’t up to scratch
Yes, it's an unforgivable insult and ought not to be allowed, or at least regulated. Why lie like that, and then normalise the lie?
Yes, but you need to learn to resist these images. Beauty diktats are nothing new
9. How important is physical appearance to lasting relationships?
Vital. You must always be able to seduce your partner and make yourself attractive to them, even after years together
You think that if someone is with you it must be despite your appearance, not because of it
Appearances have nothing to do with true love. As time goes on, physical appearances are less and less important to couples
Appearances have a role to play, but they're only one ingredient among many
10. Someone compliments you on your looks. You:
Wonder if they really mean it
Are really pleased
Find it irritating. You're not interested
