Welcome

By Louise Chunn
Welcome

Welcome to the new Psychologies website.

We have had a redesign, and created a place where you can share your views and keep in touch with the magazine on a daily basis.

Every day members of the Psychologies team will be responding to what’s in the news. From world events to watercooler TV, we will give the Psychologies take on what’s happening, and what it means to women today.

You can have your say too, as you can post comments to let us know what you think. In this way, you will help make the Psychologies website a vibrant, lively place for intelligent opinion and debate.

You’ll also find an array of psychological tests and a selection of articles from previous issues of Psychologies, as well as online competitions and special offers.

I will be a regular blogger on this website and I really look forward to getting some great feedback from you all. We already know you love Psychologies the magazine (I get letters and emails every day telling me). And I think you are going to love this new website even more!

I think this is a great web site.
I have sat and read most articles and commented on them. I love the thought provoking subjects that you cover. I have even passed this site onto friends. Thankyou

mm, always a difficult one this, however I have two very different friends, boht have well paid jobs, and dont get me wrong if the companies are offering sabbaticals, and keeping jobs open etc, then the mums returning to work are entitled – however my self-respect might prevent me from bare face lying about returning to work! One of my friends is pregnant with her second child, and looking forward to ‘getting as much money as possible’ out of her company, with no intention of returning to work, my other friend is sadly biologically unable to have children, and is with a partner whose minor ancient history prevents them from fostering or adopting – why can’t she have 9 months off with full benefits? I just don’t get it – by the way i own and run a business – i had an enforced 3 weeks off with my first, and endulged myself with 2.5 months with the second – i know that being self employed brings greater flexibility – but guess what, if i don’t work, i don’t get paid……………
