Kick-start your mornings with this mood-boosting yoga exercise.
1 Standing with your feet together, inhale and reach up to the ceiling. As you exhale, with a straight back, reach for the floor with your hands.
2 Your hands and feet should be about a metre apart, creating an upside-down V shape. Aim to have straight legs, push your heels towards the floor and your bottom towards the ceiling. Breathe deeply.
3 As you exhale, put your knees on the ground and slide your body forward and up. Drop the shoulders away from the ears, elbows in, arch your back, and relax from the waist down. Take a few breaths.
4 In one breath, push your bottom up towards the ceiling and back into the V shape. Repeat the sequence.
